We created blogger-to-book as a dramatically LESS EXPENSIVE and completely flexible service, |
What is it?
For only $39.00 you get all your posts (text and images) pulled down from your blog and put into a file saving you potentially hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars to have this done manually or use another service. You can choose whether you want comments included or not, and you can choose the order (old to new; new to old). YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE YOUR BLOG PRINTED IN A BOOK. YOU CAN GET YOUR FILE AND DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH IT. You'll get your whole blog, no limitations. Using other services or hiring someone to do the work from scratch typically costs TEN TIMES what we charge or more! We created this service as an inexpensive alternative. We save you days and days of time trying to copy and paste posts by hand. You can have your file in an available file format (Microsoft Word, RTF, HTML, Open Document, or Works). You'll be able to download your file and it's yours to do with as you please. You get a file with all your content and images... it YOURS. No limitations, you're not stuck using us for some other service. This is just the content of your posts, not your sidebars, widgets or scripted items (like slideshows and video). Interactive items or video obviously do not work in a print file or book. Why should you use blogger-to-book?
There are several great reasons to use blogger-to-book:
Do I get a printed book from Blogger to Book?
No. The $39 is for us downloading, compiling, optimizing, formatting, designing and preparing your blog content into book form. You get an electronic version of your blog book WITH NO LIMITATIONS (unlike other services that force your to PRINT using their service if you want your content). Our service saves you HUNDREDS of hours of manual, page-by-page creation, and huge amounts of money because we EFFICIENTLY format your pages to save page space. Other services and software choices drive your page count way up with lots of white space, wide margins and constraints so they can make money from printing. If you choose to print your blog book (as opposed to just having an electronic copy), your printing service will determine your printing costs. These package prices do not include your printing costs. We make NO money from your book printing. We use and recommend www.lulu.com. What about formatting and proofing my content?
The basic file we give you is your blog content how you've posted it online. If you have included basic formatting (like bold, italics, color or strikethrough), those are typically retained. The basic file is what YOU posted on your blog... text and images, right down the page. You can proof your file for spelling or formatting errors, and if needed, clean it up using a Word processor. The images are the same resolution as what you posted on your blog. We only resize them if you choose a 2 or 3 column format (our auto-resizing will save you truckloads of time needed to resize each photo by hand). The file we give you uses simple "styles" for the Title, Date, Comments and Post Content so you can easily work with it in MS Word or a similar program. These styles allow you to change the fonts, sizes and color of your entire book with a couple of clicks. Why blogger-to-book and not some other service/software?
There is other software and an automated online service that have similar features as blogger-to-book. Here are some drawbacks:
